[Coco] What version the of C programing is most used?

On a side note Parallax has a sale on their "what's a microcontroller" kit. Although
it's not on sale they also have an "educationn kit" for the propeller. The what's a
microcontroller kit is based around their basic stamp and comes with a stamp board
and components to allow you to actually build the circuits you're writing software for.
With the next GCCC meeting coming up in a few days and I can bring what I have for Brian
to look at. While the basic stamp is programmed in a form of basic instead of C or C++ the
kit does a good job of introducing microcontrollers and how to program them. There are also a
good number of other education kits available for the basic stamp that does a good job
of teaching the concepts of embedded control and programming. Once you learn those concepts
using C or C++ is an easy transition.

The Other Frank

BTW - I'm still planning to look into exploring the picaxe that Steve B. mentioned as well
as some of the Atmel stuff. :-) For now I've still in over my head with the propeller from
Parallax!
