software now you come to mention it.

I'm pretty sure I have this software somewhere, and I'm fairly certain
I bought it from Chris Hawks at a CoCoFEST! in Elgin.

That is a cool idea...the "engine" of such a program might be used
for a tile-mode graphics emulator as well... :-)
