Not sure what distro of Linux you're running there, Gene, but the flavor
that I have on my Ubuntu 10.04LTS (Lucid Lynx) is called p7zip -- it's
just a 'sudo apt-get install p7zip' away if you're running a Debian
style distro.

The p7zip that I have integrates right into the "standard" archive
manager and supports the right-click "Extract" menu system.

I've just verified that p7zip is also available on 8.04LTS (hardy heron)
server edition.

I haven't run an .RPM based flavor of Linux in quite a little while, so
I'm afraid if you're running RedHat/SuSE/YDL or somesuch, I could prolly
figure it out, but I wouldn't be able to test it; the wife's SuSE 9.2
Pro install on her (now abandoned for a newer laptop) desktop box is
quite long in the tooth and I had 'issues' installing newer libraries to
support newer software... a couple years ago... ;-)

For y'all that think 7z stuff isn't available for you, there's Windows,
MacOS clients & many more; it's free software in both the "Beer" and
"Speech" meanings. ;-) Just head over to www.7-zip.org and find a flavor
that fits you best.

There will be more files available on the website soon...

Thanks!
