Tried that - no dice.
Even tried mess and Vcc using BackupLightning.

A) Using Mess, i use wimgtool.exe to create a blank, JVC-format disk.
I boot mess, coco3 6809, using standard os9l2 stock boot, mount the newly-created disk as /D1, and format it. then i unmount it, mount the source in /D1, and do "backup s /d1" it reads, asks for destination, and when I insert it and press enter, it says it's not formatted identically.

Vcc bitches when I select that source image to mount (VDK) so no dice there.

Mess with backup lightning bitches when it actually goes to write the disk to the new JVC-format image.
