Bill, Alan:

The nitros9 3.2.8 version you downloaded from nitros9.org(sourceforge)
is built from the default configuration (boot_1773_6ms, ddd0_40d,
d0_40d, etc.) and doesn't have Drivewire3 in it. To use this image
you'd have to write it to a floppy on another computer. I have
successfully downloaded the 6809 image and written the 80 track double
sided image to a 3.5" floppy and booted it up fine on real hardware
and on MESS (after renaming to .os9)

The drivewire3-enabled images are supplied by Cloud9 and are
downloaded from here: DriveWire 3. These images use a special boot_dw3
boot module that loads the rest of the disk from the drivewire
server. I got these disks to work on my real coco when I had HDB-DOS
running. I wrote this image to a floppy and tried it without HDB-DOS
(DECB 2.1) and it just went straight to OK prompt as Bill has explained.

If you want a disk that boots off of a normal floppy but still has
access to the drivewire3 /x0 /x1 /x2 /x3 devices someone will have to
build this for you. I can create this disk if someone wants it, it
only takes a few minutes.
