Yep, I remember that too.

The school where I was running the Coco user group back in the 80's had one 
with a number of grey-case coco's attached. The teacher's desk had a coco 
with disk drive attached to this box. I co wrote a programme to allow the 
teacher to select a file from a menu to send to the computers in the 
"Network".

Those were the days.
