Great Steve.  Now, I won't claim that is the latest and greatest code I ever 
whittled on, so if you stumble onto something that needs more help, jump 
right in, you won't hurt my feelings a bit.  A new knife is often a little 
sharper, at least until it get some wear on it, and there is now 74 years 
of 'wear' on this one.
