The Dazzle dvc80 is a low-cost consumer level device capable of a maximum of 25fps and 384x288 resolution... and I don't know if it can do those simultaneously. Hauppage WinTV cards are more prosumer level. We use them in our TV studio to record our productions at 720x480, 29.97fps, up to 12Mbit/sec MPEG data rate.
Is there any particular software you'd like me to capture with it? Anything you think might cause recording glitches?
Bob

The Dazzle DVC 80 (USB) comes to mind. Bad VCR tapes or tapes with
occasional sync problems or jitter would freeze the video until it
cleared up. As far as I can remember, noninterlaced video wouldn't
capture. It's like the hardware froze until the "other" sync arrived.
