Hi,

On TV just recently a person from the Computer medium which has the old 
computer hardware and gets a lot of requests to save old data said:

Magnetic data from the 1980's needs to be saved to newer media NOW!!!

Remember that the ones and zeros don't like each other and move away from 
each other on magnetic media.

So survive is not to be expected for long.
