Do not be surprised. Twice I have activated my computer with MS before I
could configure my Private Wireless network. (Four Computers and growing)

If you want to have some fun, download "Netstumbler" and drive around.

Most people are clue less.

When I was driving around looking for the Street Light Poles with Internet
connections, I was amazed at the number of Wireless nodes near me and many
were ready for use for any one driving by. This is called "War Driving"

I finally realized that I was in the center of the four Street Light Poles
and all were too far away for reliable connections so I had to terminate my
MetroFI contract and sign up with Earthlink DSL. The connection is almost as
bad and not as fast. I found a sweet spot just as I terminated the Street
Light Pole service.

I was paying to not see the Ad's. The "free" service is still there should I
wish to use it around town, with Ad's of course.
