Rogelio:

I am actually looking forward to getting back to playing a
lot of text based adventures. Manny turned me on to
Colossal Cave (aka Adventure) and now that I am really
close to getting not only my CoCo set back up, but also my
Atari ST, I looking forward to having some fun.

I have had a lot of false starts over the last 10 years
and I am quite certain that some people get a chuckle when
they read I am getting the system back up, but this time,
it is for real. I have turned my dinning room into Geek
Central. A bachelor has a right to do that you know :)

I am at that age where a lot of men end up having a
midlife crisis and dump their wives and/or get a
Corvette, but for me, I want to play with old computer and
watch 50's Sci-Fi.

Younger girlfriends and Corvettes are a lot more higher
maintenace than a CoCo :)

Getting back to text based games, I like the fact that
they make you use your brain, and having to think through
and remember certain things or routes, may actually be
good for my bubble memory :)

If you ever read User Friendly, you may remember the
recent battle of wits between Sid and Pitr:

http://ars.userfriendly.org/cartoons/?id=20070615

It lasted almost two weeks, but Sids reply was worth it :)

Cheers!

Jim
