I hate winter weather, but I'll gladly put up with So. Central Kansas
snow storms 2 or 3 times a year. At least I can be comfortable inside
my own home. Yes, Greensburg was pretty much leveled by a tornado, and
I've seen Andover and Hesston pretty well flattened in '91 and '92. But
I wouldn't trade it for the yearly threat that not only my house, not
only my
town, but the entire geographical region could end up as ocean backwash
come hurricane season. I can enjoy a blizzard, ice storm, or tornado
warning from the comfort of my own basement thank you very much, and not
the Superdome, or whatever God-forsaken stadium they'd try to stick
Florida refugees in! :) But do enjoy your warm weather! In August
it'll be about 105F here. No matter where you go, there's some kind of
trade-off. Pick your poison.
