Ah, Portal-9 (with over 1,266 downloads) still works even for those not 
choosing to register yet.

The little reminder window appears at first in the center of the screen but 
after a minute it kindly docks itself out of the way... well, sort 
of.  :)  It parks itself over the Go button but you can slide it out of the 
way for a minute before it returns.  This lets everybody try the IDE 
forever and if they get serious with their work and it becomes a problem 
for that little window to be sitting over their favorite Go button, some 
will choose to purchase.

Btw, how do you kill the pop-up?  There is no Close icon.
