Have you considered tracking down a copy of STAR*DOS?  It was Peter
Stark's clone of FLEX for the CoCo 1/2.  It's advantage:  It natively
handles both FLEX and DECB disks.

(Yes, I'm a freak who likes to track down and read techical docs on
OS's I've never used.  It's one of the reasons I'd like to run FLEX,
I've read a fair bit about it.)

Anyway, Stark was gassing on the FLEX list about copylefting his old
FLEX clones, I don't know what ever became of that.
