Most common USB devices use a standard driver.

Mice, keyboards, hard drives, flash drives, serial ports, parallel
ports... those use standard drivers.  Of those, only the storage
devices require much work and thats just to support the standard file
system.
A network controller requires a TCP/IP stack which is beyond the scope
of what I want to do.

A camera with a USB interface should act just like a disk drive if you
are just accessing files.  However, those photos are going to be so
big you might want to skip using the CoCo to access them until a
faster CoCo  with more RAM comes along.
