The human eye is least sensitive to blue, so if they were going to  
drop a component, it'd be that. If I were designing a system, I'd go  
with rrrgggbb over the other. Sure, the human eye responds to  
luminance the best, but at the same time a certain variability of hue  
would be good. Ideally, they could have gone with 4:2:2 YUV.
