Lucky!. In my area (North/South/New/East Brunswick NJ) and for the most part
the NY area too, I have banned myself from visiting a Radio Shack store. I
know that one less customer won't affect the company's growth (if any!) but
I got tired of walking to a store chasing for that elusive
got-to-have-it-now part or component only to leave empty handed and hearing
offers from the sales people on ordering the items on-line... well, I can do
that from the comfort of my home thank you!.

Last item I was looking for was a 6 pin DIN plug to make a custom adapter to
a Commodore Monitor for my CoCo 3... not really hoping for something off the
"catalog" I was aiming at least to find a stray one. No such luck, Jameco
was rather speedy in their shipment though I had to buy a few more than
really needed to justify the shipping.

Radio Shack once was a pushing force in home and hobbyist electronics, I am
grateful on their efforts to make the TRS-80 line come about and most
important: the CoCo. But now, after a steady decline the stores are a
shamble shadow of what used to be... oh well...

Pardon my soapbox :-)
