Hello,

I disagree, Windows is going like the dodo I can't wait. If you had
hardware providers by the ... Why would you go anywhere else. You
support because your forced to, just read a old HP Microsoft agreement.
Microsoft is total crap and if not for its hold on the industry it has,
it would never be on top. You can thank IBM for that, but now look at
what OS IBM has embraced and the other companies that are following.

Even Sun and it's Solaris is going Linux compatible. You can keep
Windows now that I have a program for Linux that replaces Frontpage so
long Windows. Linux is the New OS of choice for many companies and its
getting more into the home than just a few years ago.

The issue has always been can I do that on Linux, or can it run on Linux
and the answer is becoming a resounding yes. That is one reason
Microsoft is trying attack Linux though SCO and law suits because Linux
is the OS of the future and can't or won't compete why has Microsoft not
come out with a version of Office for Linux. People would drop Windows
and go to Linux and Microsoft knows this all too well.

Windows is getting old how many times can you re-package a old dog.

Tell me how many security issues has there been for Linux compared to
Windows. Almost none and why because Windows was poorly programmed where
Linux/BSD was designed by thousands of programmers freely exchanging of
ideas. having learned from UNIX's problems of the past.

Linux unlike Windows comes from many directions almost anyone can create
thier own Distro as long as they stay to the Open Source rules who knows
the possiblities.

Personally I purchased a new computer eight months ago with Windows XP
Home install it crashed after the second day, so I repartitioned and
dual booted the computer with Linux. Windows XP crashes or screws up
almost once a week. I ended up using Linux for most of my Computer needs
only going to Windows to use office, but with programs like Star Office
the need is gone. I just located a replacement for Frontpage that is
based on Firefox and Mozilla and works perfectly and _dosn't crash_.

To date after installling Linux Mandrake I have yet to have a problem I
have had to fix Windows three times including a full re-install and
thanks for me keeping a complete copy of my documents on my Linux
partition the prcess was very easy.

If I could afford a Apple IMac it would me my alternate as it is based
on BSD, but would still keep my Linux box minus the Windows.
