Actually, that is not the case here.  What Al has found are the very 
first prototypes of the CoCo 3 that Tandy provided Microware in order 
for them to work on the ROMs.  I've heard the story first hand from the 
developers who worked on the project, and they said that these boards 
were live, working, and used in the early stages of the ROM updating 
effort.

I'm pleasantly surprised that they were found; when I worked for 
Microware, I never located them.  I heard they existed at one time, but 
no one could account for them.
