I meant plug the USB end into the CoCo USB adaptor.  It would be a
faster RS232 interface with built in buffering.

The RS232 cart doesn't support RTS/CTS flow control (hardware flow
control) and the CoCo isn't fast enought to keep up without it.
You can hard wire the flow control, there's info on the mod somewhere.
