That only applies to some tech discussions. The recent Canadian SOCAN
discussion consisted almost entirely of error-filled posts (as most of the
yro sections do), and the anti-accessibility bigotry is reminiscent of the
bad old days of racial segregation. Slashdot is for the white and able.

And since Slashdot is so time-intensive with everybody piling on for first
posts, by the time I make a researched post a day or so later, the topic is
over. It's hardly worth it. And after they broke the pages up for the ad
revenue, it became a nuisance to skip back and forth for references.

So I use Slashdot almost entirely for the lead articles now, as kind of a
headline source.
