This is the first I've heard of Portal-9 not being able to build. CCASM is
called on automatically by the IDE. It is stored in c:\windows when you
install the IDE. M.E.S.S. is not required to build a project, but make
sure you have the Launch option unchecked. If you install the 2nd download
with the assets and projects, you'll get a lot more samples to build.

Again, you won't be able to install Portal-9 into c:\program files\Portal-9
because the space in this path will break some of the commands. Uninstall
the IDE and reinstall it to c:\Portal-9 and that should get you going until
I get the update on the site.

Also, you mentioned that you can't select anything but the coco3h option,
but are there any other items in the left panel that also won't change?

Thanks,
