You should avoid spaces in your pathnames until I track down why Portal-9 
has an issue with this.  This is why the paths are being set to c:\Program 
because the " Files" portion is being chopped off for some reason.

The best place to install is the suggested folder, c:\Portal-9 or d:\Portal-9.

Hmm.  I thought I fixed that.  Let me rebuild a new installer for the 
latest version and get it posted.  I'll notify the list when it's 
online.  Until then, the coco3h setting should work excellent for you.
