[Coco] off topic but Tandy-related

Some boot disks look for a byte or something to boot the disks. Tandy
Touchdown football was one such program. If it was booting in anything
other than a 1000, it would stop with "bootable only on a Tandy 1000" or
some such thing. Even if it would have booted, the PC did not have the
sound & video to run it. Some Tandy only versions of PSF:File,
PFS:Write, and early Tandy only Deskmate would not boot on anything but
a Tandy even though they were generic PC programs.

I have not seen a Tandy 1000 emulator out there. It would be nice. The
Tandy 1000a was vary similar to the PCjr but was also very, very
compatible with the PC. I have seen & heard a whole lot of people say
they weren't, but I have first hand, in the trenches experience as a
Sysop & programmer on the 1000. Some things required a little work (like
changing the IRQ via trace cut & solder on some WD HD controllers) but
it was a very workable PC compatible. In my opinion, the T1000a was a PC
Plus.

If an emulator is found, I would like the link too please.

Isn't there an emulator for the old Tandy 1000's? I seem to remember
reading that the Tandy 1000 was a PC Jr. clone. Maybe a PC Jr. emulator
would run your software?

Sorry for the slightly off-topic post, but I'm in need of some help.

I'm looking for an old relic - a working Tandy 1000 series computer,
either an SX, TX, SL, SL2, TL, TL2, or TL3. I would also need a CM11
monitor. I've got a pile of old software for the Tandy that will only
run on a real live system.

Anybody out there have such a dinosaur or know someone who has one and
wants to sell?

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me,

Ken
