Nationalism (as noble as it may be at times), of any kind, does not lend itself
to "clear lenses". Sometimes this is ok, other times, it can lead to great
suffering. America has always done a great job of protecting our own "turf".
We invade and destroy entire nations to do so. Our products permeate every
society, as do our ideals, and pop culture. We are hardly losing our freedom
because of the "Made in China" tags, especially when our companies are the ones
making the profits. BUT BE THAT AS IT MAY. As someone has pointed out,
further discussion may lead to a needless "rift war" (any Midkemi and Krondor
fans out there?). I'm pleasantly surprised that there is such a diverse voice
among Coco users. If we can all agree that the Coco is worth using now in
2004, perhaps there is hope after all :)
