But if it's just a matter of settings, then why is exactly one 
character getting through? Just one, and only the first. No matter the 
communications app on the CoCo side...

I'm using a null modem cable.

Hehe... Once I get this issue resolved, I'll try it out. I've got it on 
a disk somewhere, I think. I got a whole bunch of OS-9 stuff a few 
years back when a guy was selling a whole batch of stuff. Multivue, 
level 2, Start OS-9 (by Paul Ward), and a whole bunch of floppies.
