Hi Joe,

That is an amazing thing you’ve given to the CoCo community 11,000 MIDI files!!!  And letting us do whatever we want with them is super cool!  Thanks!

It just so happens that I’m in the process of writing a MIDI converter that will let you convert two tracks of a MIDI file and convert them so they are playable with Simon Jonassen’s 2 voice background music player.  He’s using it with his vector graphics demos you might have seen on facebook in the last few weeks.  He posted his source code on facebook too, the program is called dipole.asm.

Once I get the converter working properly and make it user friendly I’ll be sharing it with the community and with all your MIDI files available, game developers could quite easily add some nice background music to their games.  Or who knows what they will do with them, as long as they have fun.  :)
