[Coco] So, how do I make Drivewire go?

Chris,
If all of the chips are socketed, then he was definately a tinkerer. I would suspect some things have been changed. If he was THAT knowledged, then he would have know about the baud rate problem and probably fixed it. It was a common fix in the Coco 1 days.

Try the hdbdw3cc2.wav and see if that works.
The error you describe seems to be the same type when DW4 is not set at the same baud the Coco is running.
OHH... and change the DW4 Setup to a Coco 2 instead of a 1.
Just run the "Simple Config Wizard" again. Choose Coco 2, your comm port and the rest defaults. You may need to restart DW4 afterwards.

My Coco 1 "F" board runs HDBDW3cc1.wav perfectly. But I got the "Bad Opcode" errors when I mistakenly loaded the HDBDW3cc2.wav when I first tried.

I'll try putting in a read wait. Haven't touched any "advanced" configs since I
just expected them to be set to reasonable values out of the box. ;) Anyway, as
I was saying I can't say for sure that this thing hasn't been modified. It was
a goodwill purchase. Internally it's pretty normal-looking, but I wouldn't
notice if a part number were different than it should be. All of the chips on
the board are socketed. I assume, but can't say for sure, that the previous
owner was a fellow enthusiast, considering the upgraded keyboard.
