Bill and everyone else, it is not possible to give detailed information on MESS
unless the specific version in use is told to us. MESS is constantly changing
and changes between some versions are major!
By definition, you can't change a hardware Coco3 or a Coco2 into a Coco1 even if
you remove ROMs. There are circuits and support chips that are different. MESS
tries as much as possible to emulate hardware. Also the recent versions of MESS
will not ignore most error messages regarding "incorrect ROMs."
Bill, your best bet is to use coco emulation in MESS not any of the others.
Depending on the version, you may need to make manual changes in the .ini file.
Please supply details not summaries in questions about troubleshooting.
