You hit it on the head, Gene. This is why so many stores use thermal
paper. They're hoping you sit it down on your car dash on a 98
degree day and watch it turn to solid black/purple. Or you check
your wallet later and find solid white former receipts. In fact,
nowadays stores are in the habit of asking you if you want your
receipt. If you say, Na... they just crumble it and toss it in the
trash. WHY go to all that trouble instead of just handing the
receipt to the customer. Well, I think we all know the answer to
that one. :) "Yea, give me the vanishing ink receipt.. it's
better than nothing at all"
