So much helpful advice, I hope you find something that's helpful.

For the longest time I had to draw out on paper and later on, in my head the
back points.
Here's my system:
In the beginning I would make a list of the vertebra starting at C-7 going
down, Like this:
C7
T1
T2
T3
and so on...
L1
L2
L3
L4
L5

NEXT I would cross out the spaces where there are no Du points, easy to
remember.
T2, T4, T8, T12, L3, and L-5, easy so far, right. (just remember: 2,4,8,12,
3 and 5).
You know Du-4 is at L-2 (mingmen) and Du-14 is at C-7, because like Al said,
they're used frequently. Then you can fill in the spaces.
Another Mnemonic for checking is:
Tennis at six, ate at nine, and sex at eleven. (Du-10 is at T-6, Du-8 is at
T-9, and Du-6 is at T-11).
Hope this last one does not offend.

Now for the UB channel.
Starting at about Ub-13 and down to about Ub-25 the inner and outer line are
29 apart in numbers.
So at Ub-13 on the inner line, you are at the same level as Ub-42 on the
outer line.
42 minus 29 equals 13
Also the inner line matches the Thoracic vertebra numbers second digit until
it skips one at T8.
Ub-13 is at T-3
Ub-17 is at T-7

Best Regards, Ken
