[TCM] Meridians Help

Oh boy, you are just my kinda person ..... I can't DO numbers either...
never have, most likely never will .. literally break out into a sweat
trying to add up 5 numbers in a row ... just like snakes, keep changing
value on me .... Believe me, I know where you're coming from for sure.
Anyhow, as the epitome of the totally number-challenged MTC student .... my
suggestion, which has just worked fantastically for me ... albeit it might
sound really off the wall at first .... is....... try learning the point
names in CHINESE FIRST. Now, now ... don't go throwing your hands up in the
air and saying "Ohmygosh, I got enuff trouble with numbers without even
thinking about learning CHINESE!!!!!!!! Actually, it's not as hard as it
sounds .... and once you get into it .... you will most likely get
interested in learning all their really interesting English (or whatever
language you speak) translations .... which is just absolutely fascinating
And, ya' know what? For me at least, those meridians just start making a
whole more sense when you know those point names... and you get a better
handle on many, many of their interrelationships via the Chinese names for
them. Absolutely fascinating!!!!! Oh yeah, gotta learn those NUMBERS
somewhere along the line, but that will come with just hearing them over and
over and over again .... ad nauseum at times .....in daily use .... and they
are MUCH easier to associate with the point once you have "made friends"
with those guys by learning to call them by their first name!! Way I figure,
if we're gonna work with those guys (points), we gotta get to know ém on a
first-name basis first.
Anyhow, it has sure worked for me ..... not that I am any that knowledgeable
about the whole thing .... just a really interested, plugging-along student.
Hope you find this at least an alternative for the exasperated
