[Reynolds-L] Let's Start the Year off right

Happy New Year Cousins,

 

I hope that all of you have a very prosper New Year.  2014 was a very good
year for the RFA, we finished up with some 265 members, we have added much
information to our web site and we have now assumed the Administration
responsibilities for the Reynolds Surname DNA Project.  In the next few days
I'm going to be sending a number of e-mails and this first one is a follows:

 

During the 2014 Annual Reunion I made a promise to put maximum effort into
putting our RFA Lines on our web site.  I have been working on these with
the help of a couple of volunteers but one of our members brought to my
attention that a lot of our family trees are in our Annual Reports and
on-line books.  Although this information in great, there is now way to
search for a particular individual in a database or compare one individual
to another.

 

I was thinking that if we could get volunteers to enter the genealogical
information from these annuals into a family tree program and then convert
it to a GEDCOM file, I could then put these on line.  I would like to form a
committee and I'm calling for volunteers that would be willing to data entry
these trees for me.  What I would need are volunteers to do the typing and a
committee head to assign different annuals to the volunteers in order to
prevent duplication.  Please let me know if you are interested.
