Thank you Gary,
Every few months I get an e-mail from someone trying to connect my Richard Reynolds (1672-1758) of South Carolina by 1700, to Christopher Reynolds of VA.  Tillman's book had moved some of my SC Reynolds' family into the  Christopher of VA line

NOw that you and your committee have the Reynolds Family DNA Project we can easily prove these two families are not connecated. .  I urge everyone to participate in the DNA Project. Thanks again for all your hard work.
Dottie Smith
Descendant of Richard Reynolds and Benjamin Reynolds of South Carolina

Subject: [Reynolds-L] Resarch Information

As some members already know, there exists a valuable on-line resource for research of the Reynolds’ lines that lived in the southern Virginia (Isle of Wight and Surrey Counties) in the early Colonial period.

“Bob’s Genealogy Filing Cabinet II,” is found at the following address on the Internet:

http://www.genfiles.com/reynolds/reynolds.html

This site also includes very helpful information and guidance on interpreting Colonial records, including legal practices and court records.

While a few Reynolds’ families are represented on the Filing Cabinet II site, those researching the line of Christopher Reynolds will find that the research notes on this web site serve to clarify and correct some of the error-laden assumptions made by Stephen Frederick Tillman in this two published works on the Christopher Reynolds’ line.
