[Papyrus-L] document management

Has anyone had experience storing their references by scanning them into the computer rather than as hard copy? If so, I'd like to know what software you recommend to keep track of them, and any other tips. Some of the software I've checked out allows only one keyword, so I would have to first index them on Papyrus and then use the number as a keyword, I guess. Not sure I like this idea. I have hundreds already indexed on Papyrus
