As we get closer to the release of the new American Red Cross First
Aid/CPR/AED training programs (r.21) in December, we encourage you to learn
about the exciting updates to these programs and what is required to
prepare for teaching them.

*Reminder: Resuscitation Suite™ BLS, ALS and PALS Update Courses*

This is a reminder that only r.21 BLS, ALS and PALS courses may be taught
after December 1, 2021. In order to schedule and teach the r.21 versions of
these courses, Instructors and Instructor Trainers are required to complete
an eLearning update/recertification course for each program in which they
are certified. Visit the Red Cross Learning Center (Instructor
Lifecycle>Program Updates) for more information and the eLearning
self-registration links.

Are you ready to teach the FAST 1,000 – the first 1,000 people trained in
the *First Aid for Severe Trauma*™ (*FAST *™) course? If you are a current
Instructor who does not have current certification in tourniquet and severe
bleeding training, then you could be eligible for the $20 blended learning
(online learning and virtual skills session) FAST Instructor Crossover with

*Quality Assurance Update*

The largest percentage of American Red Cross Training Services Instructors
teach for Red Cross Authorized Providers (APs) or Licensed Training
Providers (LTPs). These AP/LTP instructors teach most Red Cross certified
students every year using Red Cross curriculum as part of their Training
Provider Agreement. These instructors do not work directly for the Red
Cross. Many large corporations offer Red Cross training to their internal
staff as part of their other work responsibilities. AP/LTPs also offer
classes directly to the public.
