Initially, I was worried there was enough difference I needed to detect
the system in order to ensure things would work.  But, it sounds like
there is no substantive difference (memory size and ROM version
notwithstanding)

So, at this point, it may be more academic than absolutely needed.  If
nothing else, I think these nuances are intriguing to see/understand.
