Two observations when looking for soldering irons.

1) Hakko that everyone loves is $119ish. Back in 2021 Fry's electronics
sold them for $69 on Black Friday. Ouch.

2) Said iron is widely counterfeited. Especially on eBay. YMMV.

3) Avoid any iron that shows a picture of a user (a) holding the hot iron
part (b) sticking it into a PC case. ( if they can't be bothered to get the
picture right, they probably can't get the manufacturing right.

And to actually contribute... Good AND HONEST reviews of inexpensive irons
to learn with...

(It's Chinese but at least it's from a large and old company that

Lot of people said T12 style irons are the way to go for cheap irons.
