These type of DIN5 to Mini DIN6 were for converting AT keyboards to work on
PS/2 ports on computers that had those.

I wish I knew more about the Tandy 1000 and 2000 systems to help you. As
the Tandy Color Computer 3 was the last of the Tandy computers that I
purchased. After that it was generic IBM compatible PC parts setups.
