There is a good overview in which the authors graphed out some random numbers from a couple of random number generators at 
https://www.random.org/analysis/

It's a little old at this point, but you can just look at the 2 graphs and you can see that the PHP  pseudo random number generator is very obviously not random.

I love the idea of making a computer randomly select colored marbles and come up with the stats based on what happened, rather than calculating it.

I do wonder how accurate the calculated probability would be compared to letting a true random generator (like lavarand, etc.) just do it a million times.
