[Coco] Gotek and 3 1/2 drive working together on my Tank Dragon

IIRC, the FlashFloppy firmware completed the task, at least in DECB side.

The problem I had was that I told it that it was a CoCo disk, yet it still went beyond the 35 tracks when formatting.

Never did figure out how the setting to get it to do a NOS boot.

I will hook the gotek up to my coco3 tonight and try it out.

I can make standard 158k disks on it with the dragon so I suspect it will also work on the coco.

Is this using gotek firmware or the FlashFloppy firmware?

Henry,

Been awhile since I have done this so going from my memory......

I noticed some weirdness in my Gotek while formatting. It seems that it didn't like the CoCo sized blank .dsks. It wanted a 180K sized .dsk.

It would always try and format tracks >35. On the properly sized .dsk on the CoCo, of course any tracks >35 would then cause and error as the firmware was trying to seek beyond the end of the file.

Have you noticed this on your system? Probably only see this when you have an OLED display mod in and can watch the track step.

Also I have not been able to figure out how to get the Gotek to do DSDD .dsk and boot a NitrOS-9 .dsk

Done the tags and all, curious your results!

Finally got my Gotek in the mail today.  I have it hooked up with a 3 1/2 physical drive.  Now I can make more physical disks for the Dragon
