The only person I would know would be Pete. I think using the serial port in some way is the accepted way - here is an article about a Model 4
Transferring programs TO a TRS-80 « Vintage Volts
I know the connector is different but will a gotek with HxC or FlashFloppy firmware work with the Model 2?

Thanks Mathew.
Pete sent me a BOOT disk for my MODEL II so its useable now.
I would love to try Omniterm but I dont have a way to write it to a 8 inch floppy disk.
I would like to get the Model 2 or the model 12 connected to my telnet server so i can use it like an old dumb terminal to access email and do some basic web browsing
If you know of anyone who can write this program to a disk i would greatly appreciate it
thanks
Henry

I posted this to the M1/2/3/4 FB group and someone replied with a link to this article that references Omniterm for the M2. I used Omniterm with the M3 and it was quite good and I think quite popular.
