[Coco] Here is the mame.ini file

Phil,

Assuming that mame.exe and mame.ini are both in C:\Users\plt\MAME
then you should be using:
rompath                   roms
and there should be a rom directory
C:\Users\plt\MAME\roms

The above directory can have .zip files but you can also have sub-directories in which the actual 
.rom file is located for example:
C:\Users\plt\MAME\roms\coco3
containing  coco3.rom and disk11.rom
