Phil,

There is no special formatting needed on the SD card. It is to be formatted as FAT32
using your usual PC or Mac.

Most of the community's CoCo software can be found on this site.
https://colorcomputerarchive.com/ <https://colorcomputerarchive.com/>

For a quick start, you can download a large collection of disk images which also
includes software for browsing through the images and launching programs called
SDC Explorer.

To get started, do this...

Download this file.
https://colorcomputerarchive.com/repo/Disks/Coco%20SDC/Image/Coco%20SDC%20Image%20(2019-05-02).zip <https://colorcomputerarchive.com/repo/Disks/Coco%20SDC/Image/Coco%20SDC%20Image%20(2019-05-02).zip>

Unzip it on your PC.

Copy the contents of the unzipped file onto your SD card. Do not copy the enclosing folder.

Put the SD card in the CoCo SDC, and plug the SDC into the CoCo's cartridge port (with the power off).

Turn on the CoCo.

After the computer boots, you'll be presented with a screen where you can use the arrow
keys to navigate through the various .DSK images on the SD card and select programs
to run.

This should get you started with using the CoCo SDC.

Download this .PDF file and read it. It's a user guide for the CoCo SDC.
