[Coco] CoCoSDC and SuperIDE together was SDC Troubles

Another trick to use the SDC with the SuperIDE is to flash HDB-DOS to a spare bank in the SDC. bank 0 is SDC-DOS and bank 1 is DECB so bank 2 is a good spot for HDB-DOS. When you are booting from, and using , the SDC just type RUN @2 and the coco will reboot into HDB_DOS and the SuperIDE no matter which slot the IDE is in. HDB-DOS will auto detect the SuperIDE.

The easiest way to put HDB_DOS onto the SDC is to have the SuperIDE and the SDC both in your MPI and then RUN this short program. It will copy HDB_DOS from the SuperIDE and flash it to the SDC for you.

10 CLEAR 200,&H3FFF
20 INPUT"COPY FROM MPI SLOT";SL
30 COPY MEM &HC000,&H4000,16384-256 USING SL
40 INPUT"DESTINATION BANBK:;BK
50 KILL MEM @BK
60 WRITE MEM @BK,&H4000,&HC000,16384-256

So, how do you set it up?
Do you use a ROM from the SDC or SuperIDE?
Which ROM do you use?
Which one is in slot4?
How do you independently select the active drive image on each?
