And that sounds like the attr entry in helpmsg needs editing to correct 
it. Perhaps attr has been modified somewhere in the fog of time? IDK. 
ISTR it expects a space delimited set of strings, e pe w pw r pr, 
putting a - in front of one of those turns it off.
