This will be my last post to the list before my "hiatus".

I subscribed to this list to learn more about CoCo subjects. In my
opinion, use of Linux to emulate or support CoCo is reasonable subject
matter for this list. But a long string of "I use X Linux and really
like it, and by the way..." posts, extending for more than a week now,
that's not reasonable subject matter for this list (again, in my
opinion).

To answer Salvador's question, I'm subscribed to several lists where
Linux is a subject that comes up. I don't want to create a email
filter that flushes posts on those lists (where they are relevant).
Yes, I suppose I could create a series of filters that eventually will
capture all the Linux posts just on the CoCo list, but...

It's apparent to me that more of those on this list want or don't care
about off-topic posts, than do care, and I'm in the minority so I'll
fix "my" problem with the off-topic posts and bow out.

See you in a month, perhaps.

Thanks,

Steve Stroh

Linux, and dare I say, more so than Windows, is an important part of the CoCo world. From its roots to the development of CoCo software, it is part of the community. The original poster asked which distro people were using and instead of only one or two replies, we got dozens, only showing that Linux is an important part of what goes on with the CoCo.
