Hi Joe. Easy Fix; as long as the battery is still good.

The Sony VIO's originally shipped with WIN7. You just need to re-install the latest version of Sony's Power Management software for Win 10

You should also re-calibrate your laptop battery since it has not been used in a while.

I will send you the latest SonyPower management software for Win 10 as well as a battery re-calibration tool program

Subject: [Coco] A NON-COCO related question??????????

Hi Everyone,
I have a NON-CoCo related question to ask everyone here. Sorry I'm doing it here as I don't know where else to turn to, to get the answer I'm looking for.
Here goes...
I have a Sony VIO Laptop (Dual-Core Processor running Windows 10 Pro) that I use for E-Mail and such. Some time ago (not sure HOW long ago) I changed the Power Options (looking forward to increasing the speed of this Laptop. I know... dumb mistake...

Now my problem is that whenever the electrical power goes out, the Laptop no longer runs on battery (it just shuts off). I have tried repeatedly to change the Power Settings to try and recharge the battery but it looks like nothing I do works. The Battery Level indicator stays at ZERO Level and stays there.
My question is...
1. Did I kill my battery or is there some way to recover (or revive) it so that it works again???
2. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement battery (and roughly how much it'll cost me)???
3. Does anyone have ANY suggestions to prevent this from happening to me again???
I usually leave the Laptop constantly connected to the AC Adapter (with the Battery in place) and that way the Battery can take over in case of a loss of electrical power... I might have made a big mistake by doing it this way but again I didn't know any better...
Thanks Everyone for your help in this matter...
Joe...
