John, there were actually 2 programs that did the band logos. Both by Fred Scerbo. "Rockfest" and "Rockfest2".
I found those searching for the other program. The 2nd one was in the July 85 issue, not sure where the 1st one was.

Wasn't there also a program that drew the Yes logo, the ZZ Top car, the Rolling Stones lips, etc... and the suggestion was to play a tape of those bands at the same time?
Was that Hot Coco? I remember saving the screenshots and it taking long enough to render each screen that making a mixtape of sorts was a reasonable idea.

The one that has been posted here is the same one I found, and the same one I “remembered.” BUT, I didn’t notice any reference to a song on the Rainbow on Tape for that issue. Maybe I am mixing up programs? There might have been something in a Music issue that did something with the “AUDIO ON” command.
But I sure remember reading something about a “rock song” being included on the tape.
