​This you can do using a set of NitrOS-9 utilities Barry made to
mount/unmount/create disk images from within NicrOS-9.​  Then using the
format command you would then be able to format the disk image.

​This option is not possible with the way the CoCoSDC is designed.  You
would need to create a new disk image and copy your files to it and then
using the "os9" utility from the Toolshed Project to extract the files from
the disk image.​

NitrOS-9 to mount/unmount/create disk images.  Then you can use the format
